Painting Center caps

So I decided the paint the center caps of my rims to add some color. I decided to go with blue and orange (two of my favorite colors).

Since I’m  using two colors I’ll be needing painters tape to make sure i paint the appropriate spots only.

I couldn’t decide if i should sand down the caps or go straight to painting them, so i decided to sand two of them and see if theirs any difference in the long run (two weeks so far and no difference noticed between the two).

First I’ll be putting the background colors. This involves taping the Mitsubishi symbol to make sure i don’t paint it blue. Once it’s all taped up hit it with some spray.

After letting it dry for an hour I peeled off the tape. I then taped the painted part to repeat the process. but using orange for the symbol

Once the orange is dried up, remove the tape and you now have the finished product.

Ta da! adding a little personal styling for a total of $8. Of course if you’re afraid of using spray paint and want something a bit less permanent, look up Plasti dip(or protect dip).
